Booking & Confirmation
- Advance Notice: Catering orders must be placed a minimum of 14 days before the event date.
- Late Bookings: Orders placed within 14 days of the event are subject to an expedited service fee of 15–25%, depending on size and complexity.
- Deposit: A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date.
- Final Balance: The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event.
Cancellation Policy
- More than 14 days’ notice: Full refund of deposit.
- 7–13 days’ notice: 50% of the deposit will be refunded.
- Less than 7 days’ notice: Deposits are non-refundable.
- In cases of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, emergencies), East of Eden Wellness may offer a credit toward a future booking at our discretion.
Delivery & Setup
- Delivery Service: Available throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Delivery fees vary by distance and order size.
- Setup Service: Optional setup is available for an additional fee and includes table arrangement, buffet layout, and display setup.
- Cleanup: Cleanup and dish retrieval are not included in standard catering services. Clients are responsible for ensuring all rented items are returned in clean and good condition.
Menu & Customization
- All dishes are 100% vegan and prepared with a focus on locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible.
- We can accommodate gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free options upon request.
- Menu selections must be finalized at least 10 days before the event date.
Sustainability Practices
As part of our eco-conscious mission:
- We use recyclable and biodegradable packaging wherever possible.
- Clients are encouraged to reduce waste by selecting reusable dishware options.
- Leftover food remains the property of the client. We encourage composting or donation when appropriate.
Allergens & Liability
While we take great care to avoid cross-contamination, our kitchen handles common allergens such as nuts, soy, and gluten. Clients must inform guests with severe allergies accordingly. East of Eden Wellness is not liable for reactions due to undisclosed allergies.
Additional Charges
Additional fees may apply for:
- Last-minute menu changes
- After-hours delivery or setup
- Venue access restrictions (e.g., stairs, limited parking, or security delays)
- Rentals (tables, linens, chafing dishes, etc.) if requested
Agreement
By confirming a booking and submitting a deposit, clients agree to the terms outlined in this Catering Policy.
